A cross-section of interviews conducted by our reporters, reveal that, a large number of Edo residence are apprehensive over their safety during the election. That a lot of persons have decided to be indoors on that day because they fear for the safety of their lives and property. As many ascertain their beliefs that elections are never free and fair in the country. Some others stated that, if at all they will go out and vote, they would be very careful and safety conscious. Stating that, according to the formal president, Goodluck Jonathan, that, no political aspiration is worth the blood of anyone. "If I hear gun shot, I go back home straight, no be my papa dey context" said one voter.
Well a few others were of the affirmative that, everything will be okay as God is in charge. Seeing that they are just rounding off from church, where the clergy asked everyone to pray for Nigeria and Edo State in particular as it relates to the forthcoming election. That God should grant us peace to elect the next leader to lead this great state of ours: Edo State.
One voter in particular: Barr's Omo Osagie (name changed for security reasons) said, all known thugs should be arrested and put on house arrest if we are to have a free, fair and safe election comes September 19th.
Some of the voters admit that this administration has done well, though, there are still a lot of areas in which improvement is still very much needed. A few said, he hasn't done enough and that there are areas where work needs to be done. While a armful of others, believe is time for a change, that, they need a new hand in the helms of affair.
