Oshiomhole, Okunbo refuse to attend Ize-Iyamu’s Thanksgiving

Adams Oshiomhole , the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, as well as Edo billionaire, Capt. Hosa Okunbo were on Sunday noticeably absent at the thanksgiving service of their political godson, Osagie Ize-Iyamu, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the September 19 governorship election in Edo State.

No reason has been given for their absence at the church service, which attracted a retinue of his family members of Ize-Iyamu, party supporters, and friends.

Oshiomhole,  was at the forefront of the Edo APC governorship Campaign prior to the poll and had on several occasions urged to vote out the PDP Candidate in the election, Governor of the State, Governor Godwin Obaseki for alleged failure to fulfill his campaign promises in the past four years.

Correspondents reports that Church ushers at the Soul Winners Parish of the Redeemed Christian church of God in Government Reservation Area in Benin City, Edo State Capital, had marked a seat, which was reserved for Oshiomhole and Capt. Idahosa Okunbo and others from the beginning of the service which began at about 7: 30a.m till the end of service.

Addressing journalists on the sidelines of his Thanksgiving service, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu who broke his ominous silence on Sunday, said that he is not keen about challenging the victory of the Candidate of PDP in the election, Governor Godwin Obaseki at the Election Petition Tribunal.

He stated that he chose to pursue two pre-election litigation in courts and challenge the eligibility or otherwise of the incumbent Governor of the State and his deputy, Mr. Philip Shaibu.
