Two people have been reportedly killed with others injured in an attack at Agboughul community in Makurdi Local Government Area of Benue State by suspected herders.
State Police Public Relations Officer, Sewuese Anene, who confirmed the unfortunate incident, said one person is receiving treatment at the State University Teaching Hospital, Makurdi.
Meanwhile, when the State Governor, Samuel Ortom, visited the scene of the attack, residents said that three people were killed not two as reported by the police.
One Barrister Moses Udam and his wife as well as elder Nyikyor Mazugu, a blind man were reportedly murdered in cold blood by the marauding militia herdsmen.
No reason was given for that dastardly act.
