One of the leading political opposition in Uganda and member of the Ugandan Parliament, Bobi Wine played host to some members of the European Union after the just concluded controversial presidential election in the country which saw the long serving President, Yoweri Museveni re-elected for another five years.

Bobi Wine, musician turned politician had raised alarm during the election after his home was invaded by the security forces.

He was placed under house arrest with other members of his family at the peak of the poll warranting election observers and democrats across the globe to accuse Museveni of human rights violation and subverting the due process.

“Ugandans are demanding for transparency and accountability after the January 14th election and we shall continue using all lawful avenues to reclaim and assert the will of the people.

“We hope that all Ugandans and friends of Uganda will continue to push for these timeless values in word and action- democracy, good governance and the rule of law.”
