Former military head of states, General Ibrahim Babangida, says democracy in Nigeria is not yet complete until Nigerians are free to hold peaceful protests without fear of arrest and harassment by security operatives.
IBB was reacting over the recent arrest of EndSARS protesters at Lekki tollgate by security operatives on Saturday in Lagos.
Recall that About 18 protesters were arrested by security operatives at the Lekki toll gate on Saturday.
According to one of the coordinators of #OccupyLekkiTollgate, Kunle Ajayi, the protesters were detained in a black maria and are about to be taken to an unknown location.
“Police have just arrested 10 protesters – Four ladies and six guys . They were beaten mercilessly and injured,” he said.
