The Awori group under the leadership of Egbe Omo Yoruba in Lagos has issued an ultimatum of 14 days to bini people of Edo state living in Lagos. The statement makes known to the public by Awori secretary Lagos branch Chief Ajisefini Adeola.
While speaking with our correspondent, Chief Ajisefini noted that the yoruba people of Lagos state can no longer tolerate the attitude of some bini youths, adding that they have been disturbing the street of Lagos with Prostitution, hooliganism, cultism etc among others, and the indigenous people of Lagos can no longer tolerate this lifestyle.
Another member of Awori group, who is also one of the prominent leader of Yoruba Worldwide Group, Alhaji Kekere-Ekun Ayebola described the bini people as an ingrate whom the Yoruba accommodated In Lagos for centuries, and has no meaningful contribution to the development of Lagos rather than doing prostitution, cultism, stealing etc.
"We can no longer tolerate this people, let them go back to wherever they come from, but they should leave Lagos within 14days" says Alh. Kekere-Ekun Ayebola!
As a Yoruba man, we are accommodating but people shouldn't use this as a means to step on our toes otherwise it will backfire if we decide to retaliate.
Lagos is a home to everyone as a matter of fact because we are still practicing democracy as far as Nigeria is concerned, but that doesn't give anyone to think Lagos indigenous people will fold their hands and watch while foreigners do anyhow they like thinking no one will caution them.
Diplomatically, we know how to deal with anyone who thinks he can misbehave in Lagos , we shall show them a way out. It is has been part of us, we dont make noise! But do not take our gentility for cowardice or dullness.
Yoruba Koya Group Lagos, state why it is necessary for Nigerians in Lagos to obey the law of the state and its host, everyone is one but going beyond your limit will bring a problem.
I therefore urger every Lagosian to behave as a responsible fellow and support the govt of Lagos in whatever that has been put in place to move Lagos state forward, Eko Oni Baje o, says Pastor Felix Oribola Runsewe!
We have also forward this to the Lagos House of Assembly and to all royal fathers in Lagos of this process. We can no longer tolerate bini in Lagos, they should go back home!
