Well, Android is a Mobile Operating System that helps the functionality of your phone. We could say it is a software that oversees the welfare of the phone, like the booting of the phone, the managing of all other programs and so many other things.

The development of Android started in 2003 by Android, Inc., which was purchased by Google in 2005.

Android was released to the public on November 5, 2007. but the first commercial version, Android 1.0, was released on September 23, 2008.

Afterwards, they began to release different version and using code names adapted from desserts. They also name them Alphabetically.
